River Pride in Pencoed

21 volunteers cleared 200m of the Ewenny Fach and opened the footpath from Felindre Road to Croesty. We removed Keep Wales Tidy rubbish bags, textiles, a rubber sheet, a damaged cone, old tools and more — about 110kg of rubbish.

Thanks to Andy from South East Wales Rivers Trust. Biodiversity checks showed excellent water quality. Community pride at its best.

This pathway was in bad shape for years. When more people started using it to reach the food bank, I emailed about getting it repaved. The tricky part is it’s on both school and city property, but everyone responded quickly.

The school fixed the worst half, and the city will finish the rest by summer.

Just a reminder that sometimes, small changes start with a single email.

Had an amazing day with my family exploring the beautiful Tampa Bay area! 🚤🌆 We enjoyed our first ride on the Cross Bay Ferry, taking in the stunning views and convenience. After arriving in St. Petersburg, we had dinner at one of our family's favorite restaurants, Fourth Street Shrimp Store. 🍤🌴 Then we headed to Al Lang Stadium for the Pride Night match to cheer on the Tampa Bay Rowdies. ⚽ The Rowdies won an exciting match in extra time, but we missed seeing the game-winning goal because we had to leave a few minutes early to catch the last ferry of the night.
