i honestly avoid some ex-mormon content too. they have every right to tell their story in their words. but sometimes they treat things i believe as inherently stupid and say things like "why would anyone (or worse, "a Black person") ever believe this?" they are always white. who are you, again?
#CommunityofChrist history with race is different, better imho, but it isn't great in regards to the treatment of Black saints. Early #Black #LatterDaySaints are awesome & their storys should be told!

i do have a history of watching saints unscripted (i know, i know. but when they talk about us (#RLDS / #CommunityofChrist) i tell the truth in the comments. bc they don't do diligent research. or talk to us apparently.")
but that would be #LDS (L-dS) content still. it also sends me academic christian material, which does peak my interest.

I wrote this article ( https://medium.com/@wednesdayrjones/doctrine-and-covenants-116-is-significant-scripture-and-scripture-is-what-it-should-remain-11bbcee561c3in ) February 2023, in preparation for World Conference 2023 where there was a (proposed) resolution (G-2) to remove Doctrine and Covenants 116 from the canon
I also spoke to the international Beyond the Walls congregation and did a few presentations in the #MormonHistory and #MormonStudies circuit

Ruth Smith, professor and Graceland College and the wife of Fred M Smith, 3rd prophet of Community of Christ and Joseph Smith Jr. grandson, was very feminist. Love that for her and her family.
she went up to JSIII (2nd prophet, Fred M's Dad) who was officiant of their (surprise) wedding and was like "promise to not ask me to obey in our wedding vows."
JSIII was like "dw. i wasn't going to do that."
love that for both of them.
