Community dig reveals medieval village
A wealth of historical finds has been unearthed during a community archaeological dig that has revealed the walls of the lost medieval village of West Stonehouse at Barn Pool, Mount Edgcumbe, Cornwall.
The village of West Stonehouse was sacked by the Bretons in 1338 and rebuilt before it was destroyed in 1740 by the Earl of Mount Edgcumbe.
