Eid al-Adha (عيد الأضحى) closes the Hajj — the annual pilgrimage to Mecca. Families gather for morning prayer, perform qurbani, and divide the meat in thirds: family, neighbors, the poor. The redistribution is the point.

In Turkey it's Kurban Bayrami. In West Africa, Tabaski. In South Asia, Bakr-Eid. Same holiday, different everywhere.

It didn't originate as a Christian holiday. The apostles were in Jerusalem for Shavuot when the Holy Spirit descended: wind, fire, 3,000 baptisms in one day.

Jewish tradition: Torah given at Sinai in 70 languages. Christian tradition: Spirit arrived in multiple languages for the same reason.

Same thread. 3,000 years of it.
