Truck-to-truck worm could infect – and disrupt – entire US commercial fleet
At 2024 Network and Distributed System Security Symposium, researchers demonstrated how Electronic Logging Devices (#ELD) can be accessed over #Bluetooth or #WiFi connections to take control of a #truck, manipulate data, and spread #malware between #vehicles. Feds requires most heavy-duty trucks be equipped with ELDs, but "only a few tens of distinct ELD models" have hit road in #commercialtrucks.
