My original plan was a double feature with the documentary, The Commandant's Shadow, about a son of the family fictionalized in The Zone of Interest talking with a survivor of Auschwitz, the death camp home they shared, and didn't.
I decided to spare myself and will probably watch that today, instead, now that I've had time to process.

I finally watched The Zone of Interest yesterday.
Yes, my stomach dropped a few times but it wasn't due to anything explicit, but from my understanding of what was happening and not shown or said.
We're shown glimpses of the aftermath of acts of horror, never the horrors themselves.
And that is no less forceful knowing what we know.
The sound design surprised me; like a low key version of Come and See.

Wow.
The Black Spot felt almost like the scene in Come And See #iykyk
Nothing in the movies or previous episodes hit me like this one did because they took us into the horror that's typically only mentioned.
They seem to have saved their best for last, with one episode left there's so much that can still happen to shock.
IT: Welcome to Derry is the best show of its kind I've seen, in so many ways.

Even if that movie isnt for everyone, some scenes are incredibly well shot.
