  1. Golden light spills across Oregon’s Columbia River Gorge as the sun sets behind distant peaks. The Vista House overlooks layers of forested cliffs and the winding river below — a moment of calm and grandeur in the Pacific Northwest. 🌄

  4. Upper Multnomah Falls doing its thing—plunging over 500 feet into Oregon's impossibly green gorge. This view never gets old, no matter how many times you stop on the Columbia River Highway.

Captured during a misty morning that made the greens pop even more. Worth getting your boots a little muddy.

  9. Lower Multnomah Falls

Somewhere along the way I saw a picture of this magnificent waterfall and immediately in my mind, put this place on my bucket list.
Earlier this year I started planning a trip to Washington. Making a note that I would visit this waterfall outside of Portland.
This is the tallest waterfall in the state of Oregon.

  10. "Step off the path, and maybe you’d get back and maybe you wouldn’t, but you would be changed. Which sounds strange and awful until you realise that that’s actually pretty much how it’s always been, and if you think any different, it’s because you’ve never left that little stretch of comfort and gone someplace where what you know gets a bit thin on the ground.”

  11. Wildflowers today were off the hook. Mostly Balsamorhiza sagittata (arrowhead balsamroot) but also loads of lupines and Lomatiums (at least three different species) — and poison oak.
