trois mauvaises photos de trois dessins aux crayons. une amie m'a offert une boîte de crayons de couleurs. occasion d'explorer les infinies possibilités du trait. Ça commence par le pliage et le froissage du papier et ensuite on suit les formations aléatoires. comme si on pouvait s'illusionner de capturer un échantillon de l'infini.

Continuing with some more bird art... Here's the Kererū, a species of pigeon native to New Zealand.
This was done, slowly with almost 5 hours put in to layer with different shades (from different brands) to add some more visual texture than just one solid shade.

I wanted to draw something from start to finish for once. Took me ca 2h to make this - which explains why I rarely practice or draw these days. I don't have that time, and if I want to get back on track I'll have to steal it. (Ssssscchhh! Don't tell anyone!) There is progress, though, I'm very pleased about that.

The purpose of this was to squeeze some colour out of the colour pencils - I tend to be too light-handed when I use them. I like how the criss-cross patterns of the background kind of lifts the flower.
