I find it frustrating that my #colonoscopy prep instructions don’t tell me how much #electrolytes I need to drink for the #PicoSalax. Like it only suggests #Gatorade or #Powerade, which I do not like and it doesn’t tell how much of it to drink. And the ones I like such as #Organika or #LiquidIV say only to take 1 or 2 servings per day on the package so that does not help, 2 Organika servings were not enough last time.

A few weeks ago I had a colonoscopy and five polyps were removed from me. One of those polyps contained cancerous cells. Thankfully, the cancer cells were isolated to the polyp. If that polyp wasn’t removed it would have evolved into colorectal cancer.
I dodged a bullet and I’m sharing this very personal news because I want to encourage you to be present to and intentional with your health. Cancer doesn’t care that you’re generally quite healthy. Cancer doesn't care if you have no family history of rogue cells. Cancer isn't personal.
Monitor yourself for unusual bumps, cysts and pains. Talk to a doctor about these things. When cancer cells are caught early lives are extended.

Post #colonoscopy ham & cheese sanga is an amazingly delicious food. Possibly because it's the first food I've had in 36 hours! 😂 I habitually opened the fridge so many times yesterday - only to disappointedly shut it again... Combined with *the preparation* [shudder], it's very good for rapid weight loss, but not a diet I'll continue to follow...🙄
And a drink that isn't lemonade or water? Heaven!

I spent National Weatherperson's Day (and my day off) getting my first colonoscopy... because I know how to party.
A couple of polyps were removed, and I'm waiting on results, but it seemed to go well. I lost some chest hair to the heart monitor electrodes. 😄 Get yourself checked... it is easy and important!

Thank you all for your kind words the other day. I managed to get through the fasting and the prep, do my presentation, and then I had the #colonoscopy. They did have to do some #biopsies, so I'm still waiting on that, and due to my #Cancer history, they want me to come back in 3 years (le sigh), but everything else went as well as could be expected, except I got stuck 4 times (dehydration and shitty veins). Appreciate you all!
