When I use the term #colonizer, I refer only to those who take pride in #colonial exploits, and not to those accountable #human beings who happen to descend from colonial ancestors. #Colonialism is the enemy, it has nothing to do with skin or ancestry. As long as you stand true on #ethics of equality and mettle of character, rather than boasting pedigree and archaic tradition, you are a champion of humanity, no matter your ethnicity, ancestry, profession or status.

@NMBA This is sickening and it is happening everywhere. Somehow the people working in security in #Canada tend to be brown people who have gotten the message that they need to track and violently attack other brown people, especially #IndigenousPeoples. There is part where he says something that specially resonated with me.
He says (2:46):
"All colonized people see themselves in Palestine. They see some aspect of what was done to them in Palestine.
And all colonizers see themselves in Israel."To me the last sentence there, give my part of an answer to a question that often plague my mind when reading about Palestine:
why do some many people support Israel?
Even though I don't live in a settler-colonial country (but an imperialist country), the culture that I am a part of, is influence by white supremacist ideas, and many Danes do identify more with whites in USA, than with any BIPOC. They identify themselves with the colonizers and by extension with Israel. The identity politics is always there.

Your #colonizer ancestors gift to you is the legacy of their shame & guilt. Is that something to be proud of as a #settler, or is that a reason to stop worshipping our ancestors? They gave us a country born out of blood, they gave us a government built on the bones of #genocide. And settlers try to suppress that truth, they try to deify their European forefathers as "civilized". My ancestor killed an #Indigenous man and a statue of him stands in #Canada - this is something I will not celebrate.

@00Aaron We actually have lived experiences with how #AiDrones weren't used to locate 2 different #MissingPeople, in remote wilderness on South Vancouver Island - 3 years ago. We asked #RCMP to deploy #surveillance drones & they refused to. One of them was found dead, months later.
Prior to that, RCMP used drones, multiple times/daily, to harass us environmental #activists, guarding the blockades at multiple remote logging road resistance camps. #AItech is abused by #colonizer #cops
