Photography is pretty easy. All you need is an alright camera, a good vantage point and a beautiful universe. #colnevalley #slaithwaite #photography #cloudinversion #sunset

There has been amazing cloud inversions around Huddersfield today.
The first two pictures are Scammonden Reservoir; the second, views over the Colne Valley (and out into the distance towards Emley Moor).
Gorgeous day!

I'm seeing a lot more sunrises now that we have a puppy. Amazing cloud inversion over Linthwaite and Slaithwaite this morning. Had the SLR around (again due to the puppy) so got some amazing shots.

We've got a great little music festival in the #ColneValley & #Huddersfield called &Piano.
We bobbed down into village for an event this afternoon where the "&" were an oboe and bassoon, played by the principals from Opera North. I loved the sound of the bassoon - so round and full - and the dialogues between the wind instruments were fun.
A lovely way to spend an afternoon and we're so fortunate to have such events on our doorstep.

Walked a loop around the #ColneValley today, to make the most of the usually muddy fields being frozen.
The rain & mud returns tomorrow, grrr.

This morning, we went for a walk on #Marsden Moor in the #ColneValley (#Yorkshire).
There was a battle between rain clouds and sunshine the whole way around which made for dramatic skies, but thankfully the rain held off.
Plus, I got my fingers licked and nibbled by a very friendly sheep.
