    Funny coincidence, I am just on my way to what will surely be a wonderful and productive workshop on #Collation and #Visualisation (lorentzcenter.nl/seeing-the-di), and am reading (and can recommend) a #Balisage paper by said D. Birnbaum & Ronald Dekker in preparation: doi.org/10.4242/BalisageVol29.

    A good time to remind that sorting data isn't a question of yes or no. There are language specific rules to represent sorted data.

  6. Every time I fill out an online form, when I get to the State field, I imagine Tennessee saying, "Suck it, Texas. Too bad you have to do the extra click and select thing..." :-) #collation #alphabeticalorder Except having lived in both states, TN wouldn't say that. TX might if the alphabet were reversed...
