#ColinGray *was* the head of a #BasketOfDeplorables in Winder, #Georgia. He is the father of mass-shooter, #ColtGray who murdered multiple students and teachers at Apalachee High School and was convicted in 2024.

A jury just convicted the *father* of 2nd degree murder for ignoring clear signs that his son was mentally unstable with violent thoughts before buying him an #AssaultRifle. He faces up to 180 years in prison! ✅

The #jury deliberated for less than 2 hours before convicting him on all 27 charges: 2 counts of second-degree #murder, 2 counts of involuntary #manslaughter, 18 counts of #cruelty to #children & 5 counts of reckless conduct.

At the defense table, #ColinGray did not visibly react to the verdict. He faces 10 to 30 years in prison on EACH murder charge & 1 to 10 years on EACH manslaughter charge.

Records from an eviction the previous year show that #ColinGray owned several weapons, including an #AR15, the type of firearm that ofcls say was used in the #SchoolShooting on Wed morning at #ApalacheeHighSchool in #Winder, #Georgia.

Mr. Gray said he wanted to get his son, Colt, now 14, interested in the outdoors, & away from video games…. The son, then 13, had recently shot his first deer, & his father kept a photo on his phone of the animal’s blood smeared on the boy’s cheeks…

The father of the teenager accused of #Georgia’s deadliest #SchoolShooting told investigators looking into an online threat last year that he had been teaching his son about #guns & hunting, & that the boy claimed that his account had been hacked.
