    You can sense the simmering resentment.

    #StellaGibbons also used porridge to signify emotional angst in #ColdComfortFarm, with the pot bubbling furiously to suggest Judith Starkadder's possibly incestuous feelings towards her wayward son, Seth.

    I came across the 1968 television adaptation on youtube while writing this. A pleasure for later.
