In a tall glass add:
2 finger depths of honey
2 finger depths of lemon juice
2 finger depths of cheap whisky
Top up with hot water and stir.
Go to bed with a good book and drink it. Repeat as necessary.
It won't cure cold/flu/covid but it tastes good (even if you don't like whisky), relieves a sore throat, helps you breathe and after 3 of them, you won't care about the bug.
