  4. Happy to announce that COGITO - our Godot 4 first person template is now updated to 1.1.5 !

    This update brings lots of polishes, bug fixes and some features like the spatial prompt UI, extended interactions and full localization.

  5. On #COGITO news: I'm working on a new release that bundles recent updates and bugfixes into a new version for asset stores etc. Hoping to get that out before the end of the year.

  9. The #COGITO contributors always amaze me. Here's someone doing an early test of implementing a third person camera to switch to.
    Clearly very early, but amazing to see what's possible.

    I'm very busy with GRIDHACK this month, but hope to get back to give COGITO a bit more love in October.

  10. Just pushed the Localization update for #Cogito!
    The template now supports multiple languages out of the box and offers a few easy ways to add/localize your own and future creations!

    There's also a new video tutorial explaining how it works in the docs.

  22. Sometimes you gotta mess around for fun. So I took the Bistro scene, setup #Cogito and made the Vespa driveable in ~35min.

    Not perfect, of course, but great to get started fast and start tweaking the fun.

  28. Started reworking the item quick slots for #COGITO. This will finally allow you to manually assign items to slots, and the assignment will not change when moving items around in the inventory.

  30. Just saw that Phazorknight is hoping to have #COGITO 1.0 released by the end of this year, and then keeping it to bugfixes with no major new features getting added.

    The COGITO template is exactly what I need, and I might be just the kind of person this was meant to be for. And it couldn't come at any better time for me. It's going to make #ProjectWasp more like a total conversion mod than making a game entirely from scratch.

    So I'll probably keep focusing on asset creation for the next weeks.

  33. Having now spend half a day with #godot and getting a basic grasp on how it works, I think with using the #COGITO template for basic #ImSim mechanics and controls, I can have a first prototype of #ProjectWasp running by the end of next week.

    I had expected that this would take at least a year going into this. But this feels much more like modding a game than building a new one from scratch.
