Oh! And thanks again, for sending out an all clear on Friday night & again on Saturday, then Sunday, while in hour 30 of restoring our entire infrastructure, being told randomly by a contractor the power was going down AGAIN in 15 minutes.

Die #Congestion bei der #Telekom ist so hart dass diese z.T. massiv #Paketverlust erzeugt...

For example, you may have double-digit ms on a #5G tower that is fiber-connected, triple-digits if it uses RF links that are pretty clogged and potential timeouts and packet losses with shitty networks like #DTAG since they don't peer on #DECIX and underprovidion their peers abused as upstream|s [#Cogent & #Level3]...

And in some cases, you've to deal with mobile networks of cruise ships that are on #Inmarsat BGAN

ARGH... I'm on my second attempt at finding a suitable #VPS host who is low cost, supports #IPv6 and isn't utterly scummy... this one looked perfect.. then I tried pinging an IPv6 server I have off HE.net... I can't believe this #Cogent to he.net IPv6 issue is STILL a thing. (also, sucks that this VPS provider has Cogent only).

@kwf that reminds me of news stories that #DTAG abusing #Cogent & #Level3 as #Upstreams and refusing to upgrade the bandwiths, causing #PacketLoss and instable connectivity out of their #ego not wanting to peer at #DECIX and have properly sized ports.

This even went into lawsuit filings, but propably got pulled due to arbitration.

After all, I remember colleagues saying one should not exceed 30-50% of the network capacity prior to upgrading just to have enough breathing room.

Das Problem bei der #DTAG ist nicht allein der #Investitionsstau am Endkundenanschluss, sondern dass auch deren #Kernnetz komplett #überlastet und #verstopft ist.

Soweit dass #Cogent und #Level3 bereits mal die #DeutscheTelekom verklagt haben weil diese nicht als #Upstream missbraucht werden wollen da die #Telekom zu faul ist am #DECIX neutrales #Peering zu machen.

Weil #DeutscheTerrorkom hasst #Netzneutralität!
