Yesterday I made a blueberry cake to give as a thank you to a neighor but it was so far below what I consider acceptable (though still quite edible), I have had to bake another cake today using the recipe I should have made in the first place.

It is still baking, and it smells so good!

It is an older recipe, so measurements are by volume rather than weight, but I am sure you all can figure it out.

This is a huge cranberry coffee cake, that has to sit for three hours to cool. By the time it’s done cooling it’ll be dark and I won’t be able to take proper photos. The pan is 14 x 10.

I didn't realize the recipe made more icing than I would need, but this is pretty darn good for my first attempt at making a coffee cake.

On this day in 2022 -- two years after starting my #sourdough starter -- I actually made sourdough bread, rather than #pizza and #CoffeeCake. And it was pretty good. I still make more pizza, though.

Speaking of #baking, I baked a lovely #CoffeeCake for my family and I for this morning as a treat! I've been thrilled getting to bake a lot this visit! This is #GlutenFree as well and would never know, so good! Cocoa powder in the filling lends a lovely depth to the resulting cake flavor!

Still mourning the loss of Daylight Saving Time, so I decided to make the first #pumpkin thing of the year.
