  3. Candid's S'mores beans + this pretty mug from Flying Tiger (a colorful addition to my otherwise neutral-hued mugs)

    I hope you're all having a relaxing Sunday. 🤗

  4. The beans I ordered from Allo have arrived! Unfortunately, I can't try them yet because they still need to degas for a couple more days. 🥲

In the meantime, finishing the last few grams of Milkman beans from The Summer Coffee Co. ☕

  5. Excited to get my coffee beans from this new (to me) roaster: Allo Coffee Roasters. Glad they're available on Lazada.

NGL, the packaging is also a reason that drew me in.

  6. Happiness is ending with a flat bed of coffee grounds after a pour-over extraction.

Today is not a happy day.

  7. Got some leftover coconut milk, so I decided to make a cup of ca phe dua (coconut coffee).

    17g medium-dark roast beans
    100g hot water
    ~100g ice
30g coconut milk mixed with 20g low-fat milk
    about 1bsp condensed milk

I was too lazy to bring out our phin filter, so made do with French press to brew the coffee. Let's see how this tastes like...

  8. Today I tried my new coffee tool, a manual grinder. It's a Porlex Mini II. Of course I grind my first coffee too fine...

  9. Aside from my habilins, my husband also came home with a bag of this freshly roasted beans. It's from Maxi Coffee Bar, a quaint coffee shop in Ann Siang Hill that serves delicious coffee. Glad we had the pleasure of discovering it two years ago.

    Can't wait for my Americano!

  10. The season for iced coffee is upon us!

Brewed a pour-over with 15g of medium-roast coffee (it's usually 13.2g for a hot cup), but I may need to adjust the ratio some more to make a stronger brew.

  11. My second cup of latte for today because there was an insect that dive-bombed into my first, thereby disrupting my peaceful coffee break.

  12. For my first latte of the year, I was able to pull a perfect shot using the bottomless portafilter (i.e., no channeling)! Yay!

My only gripe: It's now time to descale the espresso machine. I'll save that chore for another day. This manuscript won't edit itself.

  15. Got the Breville SGP a few days before this review by @coffeegeek came out. Glad to know I made the right choice, especially since our household is fond of various brewing methods.

I made a data dashboard with for the coffee I have in my freezer. It's the first time using Looker Studio, so I'd be grateful for any comments or feedback! The tables and charts are cross-filtering, so the info should change depending on what has been selected. The reset button reverts the report to the default view.

  17. So I tried using the bottomless portafilter for today's brew, and it was...a mess. Hahaha! Must tweak my grind size and tamping technique.

  18. New coffee brewing implements are here! Excited to use the EDT to see if it really makes a difference in the quality of an espresso shot. Meanwhile, both stoked and scared to try the bottomless portafilter because I'm pretty sure it'll be messy the first few (?) times before hubby and I get the hang of it.
