Now we (as a society) have accepted the reality of coercive control in intimate (family) relations should we recognise that in reality such control is more widespread & needs to be (legally) confronted?
When the law was first proposed a wider scope was intended but narrowed by Theresa May's Govt. to get it passed, so perhaps now we have seen its identified a really clear problem, there should be a campaign to widen its scope?

Seriously, the biggest problem I have in escaping #abuse #neglect #CoerciveControl is finding a volunteer to help with admin and a safe, quiet place to live. Every time I ask, NOBODY knows ANYONE. I am too sick to live with randoms & need recommendations, but nobody knows anyone?

Despite some high profile successes in the prosecution of partners for coercive control, it appears (once again) many police forces are not getting it right on the ground - prosecuting the victims of conceive control for the actions they have bene forced into, rather than going after the perpetrators.
I'd like to say this is surprising, but its all too grimly predictable!
