@gabz Last edition of Rust is 2024 and it's advisable to write new projects in latest edition. Then 2018 is year I started getting interested in Rust... and that was previous era for me.

I recommend seasoned programmers who want to learn #Rust to take training... or use #CodeWars or #Exercism to just train on assignments, not dry book knowledge.

Привет, Хабр! Сразу хочу сказать, что в первую очередь задачи я решал для себя. Хочу поделиться моим опытом взаимодействия с этой платформой и насколько мне это помогло. Каждый по прочтению этой статьи решит для себя сам, стоит начинать или же нет. А началось мое знакомство в далеком январе 2022 года. За все время я решил почти 200-ти задач и имею 4kyu. Мне кажется главное, что стоит понять, что сайт делится на две категории - базовый и продвинутый. Большинство задач на 6, 7, 8 kyu - базовые. Всё, что меньше - продвинутый.

I used #CodeWars problems to learn, then took peek at other solutions (they do this nicely with voting mechanism). That's how I learns a lot about functional approach to problems in Rust very quickly.

Кажется, в РФ ситуация получше, потому что из-за эмиграции IT-специалистов здесь образовался сильный дефицит разработчиков , при этом зарплаты бурно растут . Неудивительно, что в таких условиях после февраля 2022 года в РФ резко вырос спрос на курсы по программированию и аналитике данных . Cреди профессионалов бытует мнение, что выпускники курсов обладают лишь поверхностными знаниями. Но на фоне нынешнего кризиса у этих выпускников есть призрачная гарантия трудоустройства, потому что платные школы зачастую берут на себя такое обязательство. Некоторые даже возвращают деньги за обучение, если студент не трудоустроился после выпуска. Хотя не всё так радужно и найти работу всё равно очень тяжело, но соискателей это не останавливает…

В этой статье я хочу поделиться своим опытом изучения алгоритмов и рассказать, как я пришёл к Codewars и какие ошибки совершал на этом пути. Я Frontend разработчик с опытом около 4 лет, и за это время алгоритмы в чистом виде мне ни разу не пригодились. Однако я понял, что использовал алгоритмы всю жизнь, просто не называл это так.

День прогулки с котом, ух и стрессанул он сегодня :blobcatcaged:. Зашел к старому другу, учился как клеить дисплей и крышку смартфонов (в теории), позже повторю. Поболтали об #okeycms шаблонах и сравнивали с #opencart стимул расти выше только усилился, хочу после завершения повторения и уверенного владения языком #php попробовать смастерить шаблон для #okaycms надеюсь это не сложно. Перед сном кодил в #codewars и сразу попалось задание 7 kyu на преобразование массива из двоичных чисел в десятичный эквивалент, не смог сходу решить... Ушел в компилятор #glotio тестить. Потестил, не удалось решить, но потом захотел отработать конструкцию #foreach и приведение массива к типу integer, почитал документацию. Думаю это останется в памяти, ведь сон как рукой сняло из-за этого вызова :blobcattableflip: в любом случае мне понравилось, надо бы почаще практиковать как Виталик Бутерин рекомендовал :blobcatthumbsup:. Дофамин - это хорошо :blobcatwinktongue:, деньги за dev-skills еще лучше.

I solved one more problem on Codewars. The problem I had to solve was creating a function that removes the first and last character of the input. The problem was intriguing because C handles strings differently than C++ or Python.

Solved a #JavaScript #Codewars challenge every day for almost an entire year.
I've been having way too much fun with #RegExp lately!
But for readability I'm still trying to use built-in methods or simple loops as much as possible.
#Coding is so much fun because there's always more than one way to solve a problem :)

I'm sure I'm miles behind here – but I have just noticed that #CodeWars now supports x64 assembly using #NASM as one of the language choices (there's also a #RISCV option too). I know most "normal" people won't want to solve #CodeKata puzzles in #AssemblyLanguage – but if you're interested in the low-level side of things like me, then these are quite fun!

Мда, всё-таки иногда мне кажется, что я тупой, а иногда не кажется, простенькая задачка с #Codewars по #Agda застала врасплох. Нужно было короче показать, что существуют типы не равные друг другу https://www.codewars.com/kata/5e90c3814af7f4002e2535af . Мда, полдня сидел как дурак, думал чего я такого не знаю про агду, почти решился писать через равенство по Лейбницу(типо что два объекта равны, если у них одинаковые свойства), но как-то много букв получалось. В итоге психанул и спиздил решение, естественно это был однострочник и даже никаких хитрых фичей языка не было, да и идея со свойствами была не плохая, но что-то куда надо мозг так и не повернулся. Наверное повод работать над собой и активнее ебашить.
