In summary, I thought there was going to be more tech focused presentations and discussions, but I am glad the speakers came back to basic things: travel patterns, land use, governance, funding.

CobbLinc operates hub-and-pulse transfer centers at Cumberland at Marietta in the northwestern Atlanta suburbs. I like that, and here is how it works: at 8:58am, for instance, buses in (almost) all directions are present. They pull off at 9:00am on the dot, one after the other. At 9:02, the transfer center is pretty much deserted until the next 30 or 60 minutes when that scene repeats again.

The transit expansion sales tax failed in Cobb and Gwinnett County, GA. That's why the ATL needs to find other funding sources for the region.
