My first El Toro ride is the season. The retracked twister section feels so good! I can't wait until the other phases are done. POV recorded using Meta x Ray Ban with a strap as per park policy. #SixFlagsGreatAdventure #RollerCoasters #ElToro #CoasterEnthusiast

Pretty happy with how my Nanocoaster display cube turned out. It got a little cramped at the top, but not too bad for no pre-planning 😅 now to figure out where I want to hang it. Probably behind my desk, but it's a little busy back there with monitor arms and the fact that I use it standing sometimes.
Someday I may install some lighting to jazz it up, but I'll call it done for now.

Another Nanocoaster out of the backlog and ready to display! This one is Kumba at Busch Gardens Tampa. This ride really feels like it dealt the death blow to Arrow's more handcrafted coaster design process. Drachen Fire at Busch Gardens Williamsburg was Arrow's attempt to equal a B&M design and it really didn't come close.
A very enjoyable modern looper, and one of the few B&Ms with this sit-down train design.

Wildcat was a Schwarzkopf wildcat model that operated at @cedarpoint from 1979 to 2011. Only 50 feet tall, the coaster still managed to reach speeds of 40MPH.
She was removed in 2011 to make way for a park redesign. Today, part of Valravn sits on the former site of Wildcat

It's a nice feeling when something you made and put up for sale on a whim gets a single sale months later out of nowhere, it was something incredibly niche so I'm amazed that someone who wanted such a thing could even find it 😆
That said, if anyone else is interested in some oddly-specific #Hersheypark fan-made merch, you can pick it up on my Redbubble here: https://www.redbubble.com/people/GandalfDG/shop?asc=u

We're a day or two late, but happy 30th birthday to Kumba at Busch Gardens Tampa, celebrating her 30th birthday this week!
Opening in April 1993, Kumba is an early B&M coaster design that features a jaw-dropping 114ft vertical loop. Despite her age, Kumba remains a popular ride in the park to this day.

My wife and I planned a trip to #KingsDominion and #BuschGardens for next month, and since then we've found out that it will be the opening weekend for #DarKoaster as well as that #Intimidator305 will be back open following extended maintenance!
So nice when things work out :)

Fuji-Q is a cute little park. Expensive, sloooooow ops, and Eejanaika almost actually killed me, but it was a nice stop away from the city

You can feel the headache just looking at this photo, right??
Zoomerang is a Vekoma boomerang coaster that has been operating at Lake Compounce since 1997. She reaches top speeds of 47MPH. That's a lot of head banging from a lot of guests!

18. GhostRider - @knotts
A fitting tribute today, since GhostRider opened on this day in 1998! Despite its age, this ride still packs a punch. Some great hills and a ton of speed for lots of fun. GhostRider is a huge coaster for #knotts and will leave you smiling.

We forgot to kick off #25DaysOfCoasters yesterday! We'll try to bring this bird site tradition over to #Mastodon. This is a list of @elisabethshelby favorite coasters I could ride over and over again. Ranking them is a bit subjective, but I did my best.
