Councillors unanimously voted against the Ffos-y-fran opencast coal mine application. But still they're mining coal illegally. Merthyr Tydfil County Borough should immediately issue a 'Temporary Stop Notice'.

Just back from the #CumbrianCoalMine protest in #Whitehaven. Spoke to many folk and discovered there’s more common ground than we might think.

I’m sure some cracks have been healed today between those for and against the coalmine — not least as locals seem to want *jobs* more than the coalmine itself.

All-in-all, empowering and thought-provoking.
