    The more people come to Mastodon (or the greater Fediverse, etc.) looking for something different, the better their initial experience will be. You'd be surprised how many barriers people will clear with the proper motivation, right?

  20. It's funny, this account is like my second or third attempt at Mastodon. I realized that the first go-rounds I came here thinking this was just another microblogging platform. I enjoy participating in new things. But, my frame of reference was Twitter, so when Mastodon wasn't that, it didn't stick. It wasn't until I came back here looking for change that it clicked for me.
