I was recently interviewed for an article in InformationWeek about cloud migration challenges. It's a topic that deserves a lot more forethought and attention, both strategically and tactically. Companies should always weigh the pros and cons carefully before fully committing to a strategic initiative that could be hard to walk back later.
The @theia board spends a lot of time addressing the elephants in the room on such topics, and educates #thoughtleaders around the world on what to consider before committing to any major initiative. Meanwhile, @codegnome spends a lot of time working directly with clients on their #cloudgovernance, #cloudsecurity, and #costcontainment strategies and implementations.
Both approaches provide perspective. There is rarely a single, universal answer to a strategic question. "Optimal" is very situational, and the best solutions are those that afford the most opportunities to adapt to changing circumstances.
