  3. Ah, the internet's newest oracle has finally deciphered Cloudflare Zero Trust tunnels—14 minutes and 2822 words later, he's practically handing out honorary PhDs. 🤓 Because, of course, understanding a product as clear as mud is the ultimate badge of tech honor. 🌪️🔒

  5. 🌐 In the past three days, I've switched my #homelab to a new #ReverseProxy! After using #NginxProxyManager and #Zoraxy, I've now moved to #Pangolin.

Pangolin allows me to provide my #selfhosted services from my home lab without needing to open a port in my #firewall. 🔒

Essentially, it's a self-hosted alternative to #CloudflareTunnels, running on a #VPS. Due to the current political situation in the #USA, I preferred not to use Cloudflare.

Pangolin is based on #WireGuard and #Newt, enabling a #certificate-based direct connection after installing a client on the home server. 🔗

I'm extremely satisfied with it and now have no open ports in my private #network! 🎉

  9. Since I found the solution, I started to deploy many services on my home server.

Is it worth it to run my own server?
    What will I gain?
How complicated is it? How many resources does it need?

  10. Anybody using to expose their to the internet? I've been drowning in tags and subnets.

  11. Anybody using #CloudflareTunnels to expose their #HomeLab to the internet? I've been drowning in #vlan tags and subnets.

  12. @ErikBussink I also used this solution in the past, I still use #tailscale to access other services, but owning a domain, I can access my #HomeAssistant directly via #CloudflareTunnels

  13. What a day to learn about Cloudflare Tunnels! Yes, I know they’re not ideal. Yes, I know that traffic is decrypted at the proxy point (that’s how Cloudflare is so good at blocking malware). Yes, I know they basically make a hole in all one’s firewall efforts. But, they’re so cool as a concept. #CloudflareTunnels
