It has come to my attention that my favourite jacket is falling apart. I would like to repair it for two reasons:

1. I love this jacket.
2. I can't afford a new one right now.

Good service. Free repairs for the lifetime of any item. Only cost is carriage one way.
(It must be quiet because Berghaus have just done a same day repair to a jacket with a broken zip.)

Random lesson I have learned as I have been learning how to sew (which I violated for my entire life until now). NEVER JUST PULL LOOSE THREADS OUT OF YOUR CLOTHING/ETC. ETC. -- always cut them off! If you pull those threads, you are unraveling... SOMETHING. #sewing #repair #clothingrepair

Mending can sometimes be thought of as a chore, but I find it really relaxing and enjoyable, especially when I've got a good podcast to listen to.

This time around I'm repairing socks. I don't usually feel like store bought socks are worth it, but I have a couple that I really like, and they've lasted longer than normal, so I thought I'd give it a try and see if it helps.

After the takeover of our company by another competitor, behind the scenes a full blown integration plan was set up and is running.

As employees not immediately involved in the integration, we are encouraged to host or join so-called "Culture Circles", where in small groups - during company time - you talk about a variety of topics. The topics are brought in by the hosts, and this afternoon I will host/mediate a circle on the topic of "Fabrics & Textile Arts".
No idea what everyone will bring to our hour, but I have some samples ready, because basically I hope we'll all talk about our hobbies that have something to do with textile/fabric and such :neocat_heart:

We had a great time at the Zero Waste Fall Festival hosted by @zerowaste_a2
We were invited to host a table with the theme "Clothing Repairs". We brought a variety of sewing tools and supplies for public use, made clothing repairs, and taught mending skills.
