" ‘#EarthBuilt’ or '#BreathableHouses' are supposedly #EcoFriendly to produce, because they use readily available, natural materials and building methods. Homes made from mud have been used for thousands of years across many cultures, but they’ve been traditionally created by men.

This new #h2 #CombustionEngine could be revolutionary especially combined with new swappable h2 cartridges. I'd love to be able to replace my old pickup truck's engine with this.

And to Russ Mitchell's point, if you're getting an #EV because it's a fancy new toy, perhaps reconsider your why, as #consumption and #affluence go hand in hand with the #ClimateEmergency.
But also, as I hear again and again from climate scientists, we must stop burning fossil fuels. The burning is our biggest problem.
Do EVs still get power from fossil fuel-run plants? Yup. But that will soon change.
There's no perfect #ClimateSolution. But a used or rented EV is a great place to start.

The problems of #hydrogen and #HydrogenEconomy as a #climateSolution:
* "If produced from the current EU energy grid mix, its emissions balloon out to the equivalent of ~16.6kg of CO2 released per kg of hydrogen.* Chemical extraction of hydrogen produces ~11kg of CO2 equivalent emissions, ~4 times greater than electrolysis. This means with current production standards, electrolysis, the “green” option, is in fact more damaging for the environment than hydrogen produced from #FossilFuels."
* "An unavoidable issue with hydrogen is it’s extreme leakage issues, with the world’s best storage technology still leaking at least 1% of its content per day."

Prevents #wildfires from spreading along the ground and subsequent flaring from tree tops. This generally makes fires easier to contain, manage or control over time.
