Naturkatastrophen, Dürren etc. sind ein enormes Sicherheitsrisiko, vor allem in Konfliktregionen, und dieser Aspekt muss Teil der Debatte um Sicherheitspolitik weltweit werden. #WomenPeaceSecurity bezieht sich auf die UN Resolution 1325 mit der Agenda „Frauen, Frieden Und Sicherheit“. Nearly 10 years ago, we at the Wilson Center flagged the potential for #backdraft, the conflict that could be worsened or started anew by our (needed) responses to #climatechange. That concern persists today as the climate threats increase & the imperative to act magnifies.
