#Burundi: The shortage of drinking water supplied by Regideso continues to disrupt daily life for residents of the town of Ngozi, in Butanyerera Province. For more than five months, several neighborhoods have been without running water. Residents say they are forced to walk several kilometers to fetch water or to buy water in jugs at high prices.
The decline in water reserves—linked in particular to climate change—has recently led to a decrease in electricity production at certain hydroelectric power plants in Burundi.
