Kleine morgendliche Laufrunde zum #Doolin Pier, von dem man auch einen ganz guten Blick auf die #CliffsOfMoher hat.
Von dort fahren auch Fähren zu den Klippen oder auf die Aran Islands.
Außerdem kann man in Fässern mit beheiztem Atlantikwasser und Seetang baden, was aber natürlich nicht ganz billig ist.

Weil das Wetter heute deutlich besser als gestern war und man von den berühmten #CliffsOfMoher schon deutlich mehr sehen konnte, sind wir am 6. Tag unserer #Irland-Reise einfach noch mal den gleichen Wanderweg von #Doolin aus gegangen, auch um die szenetypischen Fotos vorm Abgrund zu machen. -

Landeinwärts Kühe, Wiesen und Blumen, landauswärts Felsen, Brandung und Gischt – heute am 5. Tag unserer #Irland-Reise sind wir von #Doolin entlang der Küste bzw. des Burren Way in Richtung der #CliffsOfMoher gewandert. Der Weg ist gut gesichert, aber es gibt doch ein paar Stellen, an denen man spektakulär dicht an der Abbruchkante steht. Leider ist der Weg dann nach 5 km gesperrt.

As a final note on our trip to #Ireland & Clare, we had planned to visit the #CliffsOfMoher & the #TheBurren. The Burren was superb in every way, scenery, geology, fauna, walking but especially #flora. The Cliffs of Moher were OK but I hadn't realised just what a massive tourist industry was based around this single feature. We shared the view with 500+ people, multiple shops, a visitor centre etc etc. We were also restricted from getting near the cliff edge. Rather diminished the experience.
