Working on multiple brands is tough, to say the least. So I'm trying to get more deliberate in creating systems and automations that allow me to scale.
Here's my latest weekends project. I say weekends (plural) because I tested this workflow at least 87 times (yep, there's a record of it) before I got it right.

Dear fellow #CRM users (who also dislike #AI interference).
I used to love using #ClickUp, but since v4.0 rolled out and over and all over the place in March it has become unwieldly and tremendously frustrating (slow to load, the UI makes less sense than ever, why on earth is there a search field that is really a button to open a pop-up, etc.)
What open source, or non-AI alternatives are you using? I am really wanting a different and lighter experience.

Heard about the #ClickUp layoffs and that this was done without notice, probably with them knowing only when their accesses were revoked.
Thoughts: Damn this CEO is a fucking asshole. Also quite worried hearing about AI agents everywhere, are investors jerking off in the same room?

#Clickup users - are email reminders no longer a thing? Is the only option now to have inbox reminders? If so - that's crap!!
I'm not a power user who's logged into ClickUp all the time, and I'm a one-person shop - I don't even use the inbox!
Any tips for other ways to get reminders from ClickUp outside of ClickUp? -

Oni snad v #ClickUp ten OpenAPI spec píšou ručně...
Problém: Group_ids je pole stringů, né single value. Můžete validně ten parametr opakovat, a dostanete odpověď na všechna zadaná ID. Problém je, že jejich OpenAPI spec netvrdil, že je to pole.
Tak jsem jim to nahlásil. Tak to fixli. Ale když máte parametr typu "array", přibývá také položka "items" v podobě {"type": "string"} = Parametr je pole řetěztců. To měli blbě, viz. screenshot.
Tak to fixli znova. A z group_ids je opět jen "string" místo "array"... 🙃
A proč mi to vadí? Protože generátor mi dělá špatné API nebo ho nedokáže ani přechroupat pak.

Я люблю упорядочивать процессы. На работе я использую мощное ПО с кучей автоматизаций: кайтен и ClickUp. Последний прокачан ИИ ассистентом, очень помогает. Но что насчет личных задач? Личный таск менеджмент тоже важен, и часто не для того, чтобы достичь супер результат, а просто чтобы не запутаться. И делаю я это все… в Apple напоминаниях, прям вот стандартное приложение в айфоне. Вы знали, что в 2023 его серьезно прокачали? Там теперь есть разделы в списках, шаблоны списков и даже вид канбан досок, и можно еще шарить друг с другом?

I've been using ClickUp for a few months now...and like every other productivity tool I've used over the last number of years it has its pros and cons.
It's got a lot of features but sometimes pretty basic features don't "just work" - and that makes me unhappy. 🙁
For example, right now I have some recurring tasks that will not allow an update to their due date manually. If I set a new date it resets back to the original date. Even more concerning is that this isn't clear from the UI.
The UI acts as if the change was successful but a page refresh reveals the change didn't save.
But the real reason I wanted to post wasn't about ClickUp particularly but about chatbots in general. They verified that my issue was an actual bug and created a ticket for it but the way I've been instructed to view the ticket status is by opening the chatbot, telling it I want information on my ticket (pasting in the ticket ID) and after doing all that I get this
5/6: Umm, no. I want to see an actual ticket please. I don't want to have to talk to a chatbot to see it. Chatbots really are great for a lot of things (during the free trial of ClickUp I found the chatbot quite helpful in learning how to do things without searching through docs) but this sort of "there is a direct record", please no. Or let me paste it in and do the lookup immediately - and provide a permalink so I don't need to chat every time!
I'm sticking with ClickUp at the moment, but one of these days when I magically get a large amount of free time, I'm going to write my own solution...I've only been saying that for a few years now. ;-)
