  1. CT Mirror: ‘Click to cancel’ rule aims to protect CT consumers from unwanted subscriptions. “Under the law, which went into effect July 1, companies must notify consumers of automatic renewals and give subscribers a clear ability to cancel. If that doesn’t happen, residents can file a complaint with the state Attorney General or the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection.”

  7. Question regarding California’s click-to-cancel law (Automatic renewal law),

    * Costco wouldn’t let us check the price of appliances without a membership id.
    * I purchased the membership online though their app and found the deals were shit.
    * Couldn’t find a way to cancel through the app, chat asked me to call a number, they gave me yet another number of the local store and the store is asking me to come in-person to cancel.

Is this bs legal? Can they force me to come in to cancel and not offer any online means to cancel the membership? Is there a place where I can put in a complain for this practice?
