My severe #claustrophobia is caused by #cptsd as prisoners got better treatment than I did as a kid.

#tourettes causes a lot of pain if you don't understand how to manage it. I suppressed my tics all the time out of shame, and fear from watching how my dad treated my mother. If you do that all the time, you're in immense pain.

He thought I was faking so he took everything from me. I was alone, with nothing to do, and could never leave either.

My stamina is improving!

I have been stress walking 15+ miles a day, despite trying to take a break as my legs are always in pain by bedtime. Not made better by peripheral nerve damage in my feet.

I am at a new place, so it stresses me out to be inside with strangers with my severe #claustrophobia.

However every day I am in a bit less pain, and my energy levels improve, and I feel safer.

No pain no gain I guess. I am glad my #fitness and #health is steadily getting better.

Hospitals are definitely brain numbing after a while, and I am glad my #mentalhealth is better than when I first got to the care facility I was at as my #claustrophobia would be going insane right now.

It does occasionally but I can always calm myself down.

I will be going to a different place after this, same concept but the facility can only hold a bed for about three days.

I have a reference for more permanent housing now though :)

The future is looking up!

I used to despise stairs, now they are one of my favorite ways to work out.

I don't like being inside most of the time due to awful #claustrophobia so I don't care for gyms or machines. Outside is my gym, no matter the weather.

I have a titanium rod in my hip and screws from an accident. Stairs used to hurt to climb for years.

Now I am proud I turned something I hated into something I love.

This is prettier than a gym.

So, as a very white-looking AFAB person (yes, ugh, but that's not who I am) of a certain age, I know I have privilege just because of that. But as someone who is #ActuallyAutistic and very mouthy (#ODD), that doesn't mean I can get away with shit. My whole life, I've come close to being arrested, but never have been. The fact that I have #Claustrophobia and #PTSD (from being locked in a closet by a Nun) means that I probably would not do well incarcerated. Or at least I'd have to mask for what would seem like an eternity. I honestly don't know how #GretaThunberg could tolerate incarceration, but the fact that she has, and is still very VOCAL, means she is a total #BadAss who is my HERO!

I have severe #claustrophobia to the extent that I cannot sleep in my own bedroom.

Part of a long list I have from going through things I can't even speak to a #therapist fully about yet.

#ptsd lead me to critical drug #addiction because I was just so afraid. All the time.

Not made better by #tourettes and #comorbid problems I was still learning.

I need to feel like I can escape when I am inside. Anywhere really.

I don't know how I'm alive.

I'm glad.

Though this is all good as long as one doesn’t get claustrophobic in the sleeping. That can then have the opposite effect.

There are two options to deal with this. The obvious one is to not use a sleeping bag. The other option is to use one that is wider and permits more movement.
