I was working this week on a UI to help users understand when they’re #overfitting their data. Coming up with ideas for the #UI/#UX was proving to be difficult.
My experience 2 months ago with #Claude was terrible. But this time the output from #ClaudeDesign, was pretty good: training vs prediction, noise and model complexity controls, and comparing fits across degrees.
Needs improvement, but its a good starting point. AI in design is going to be a thing.

Open CoDesign is weird in a good way. You write a prompt. Something shows up next to it. Actual stuff you can use or export.
It runs on your laptop. You plug in whatever model you already use, Claude, GPT, Gemini, even Ollama. You can see the agent working, pause it, or just fix one small part instead of starting over. That sounds minor, but it changes how you use it.

To me, #ClaudeDesign is a warning sign for web graphic design.
Only those who are best in their area will remain, the huge rest that are not *that* creative will be out of a job.
Another job gutted by #AI, but it was previsible.

"Coding is dead."
"Startups are dead."AI fanatics seem to predict the death of everything. Since when did focusing on death become something to celebrate? (I realize the irony in this since my server is mementomori.social, but that's different)
I think AI will definitely speed things up and make things more efficient, but it also raises serious issues around security, privacy, the environment, and jobs.
As a lifelong coder, I embrace the technology, but I still hate the hype. It leaves me feeling pretty conflicted.
