The Silurians episode 3. The scene with the Doctor popping into Dr Quinn’s cabin is fantastic. On the one hand, this episode is kinda filler, but Pertwee makes him running around and talking to people a joy to watch.

Fulton Mackay is definitely the best guest star this story.

Unfortunately they don’t give Liz much to do this episode except check in on the security fellow in sickbay.

Thanks to everyone who participated in my Doctor Who poll. It ended in a dead heat, which means I clearly must watch both the Silurians and the Dæmons. Both are excellent, so no regrets there.

Been rewatching Mawdryn Undead. I had forgotten that it was Turlough’s first story. Has there ever been another companion who started out as an assassin trying to kill the Doctor.

I like this episode, even though I don’t like the Black Guardian or Mawdryn, but I love that it’s actually a time travel story, particularly the (retired) Brigadier’s story.

I stand corrected then. I watched the first episode as it happened in the junkyard, and most of the rest of #ClassicWho, but that detail hadn't stuck. Possibly because I was re-imprinted by the #NewWho, which I absolutely loved. I've seen every episode, most more than once, and even made a spreadshet of them.

Currently listening to The Dalek Invasion of Earth incidental music. There's a lot of drums!

Another review from ages past on my blog. Through some interesting reasoning, Lance Parkin dates The Keys of Marinus to nearly 50,000,000 BC so I reviewed it early on in my marathon. I do love this silly little quest story. If you do too, we can definitely be friends.
