  1. Over the weekend I’m listing my pair of Class 55 Deltics on eBay. They’re just too long for the layout, they don’t behave on the helix because of the sheer length between the bogies (no sniggering at the back). Maybe if the gradient was a bit less, and the helix was absolutely consistent gradient everywhere, they’d work.

At least the Accurascale habit of short production runs means that I’ll get almost all my money back - until off course Mr Taxman steps in and deducts 20% because I’ve sold over £1k on eBay this tax year…

Always up for a local private sale if anyone in Cornwall is in the market. Compete with ESU Loksound decoder, offers around £225 each. Going for £260-£280 online.

    Snagged a Class 37 to replace them…

  6. A picture full of old railway charm, taken in April 2002 at #Liège 🇧🇪 Guillemins. It’s all gone: the old train station (yes, there’s a new, stylish, one), the bordeaux-red #SNCB #NMBS Class #AM73 twin EMU and the #M2 carriages on the afternoon peak train with its #Class55 diesel.
