Abandoned my Vikings In Ireland game. Quite frankly I am more at home after 1066, the Viking era has never been really interesting to me.
Trying a new character for the first time, the 16 year old High Prince Mizlas of Prussia.
Please note that 1066 Prussia has nothing in common with 19th Century Prussia other than being by the Baltic sea. Different people, different religion (Pagan Vidilism) and part of the De Jure kingdom of Lithuania, not Germany.

Doing the most basic of basic Crusader Kings 3 playthroughs: Haelstinn taking over Ireland.
The fun part is that I have actually never played with him before now and never gone for Ireland either.

After missing last year, I've made the commitment to do a new 3min promo for my mod #NewDarkAge - I might have bitten off more than I can chew; have a shortage of quality game footage, and my voice isn't really strong enough for doing voice-overs.

A selection from patch notes for new #CrusaderKings3 hotfix for your enjoyment:
- Bears now roam Siberia and India, bearware!
- Cannibals who also enjoy collecting Cranial Trophies will now save the skull of their prisoner after devouring the rest
- East Asian cultures will no longer discuss which geometrical shape is the most godly
- Nudists will no longer be mad if you steal their clothes. -
On the one hand you have to play a rune stone raising culture. On the other I've only played for a few weeks and this is only my second longish game. 0.6% of players is pretty low.

Since one of the AUH achievements involves Christian head of faith getting the mandate of heaven, here's a holy war tip: when defending and losing, you can invalidate the war by converting faith only to renounce it when you're safe again. Just make sure you have enough piety.

First tip: if you're Catholic with polygamy in your culture and the Pope asks you to embrace polygamy, refuse. It's just 200 piety every few decades in exchange for extra free alliances, extra children to marry and can rotate primary spouse depending on current needs. Just note that monogamous characters refuse to marry as secondary spouses.

I definitely prefer 1066 to 867 as start date in CK3. Mostly because 867 lets me grow too quickly, on average you have formed an empire within a century and then you just put down revolts until 1493 when the game ends.
But also because I'm really not interested in "the dark" (they weren't, really) ages on an historical level. I want my William, HRE and reconquista.
