I thought I'd move my kubernetes tinkering to #civo and kinda stunned to find that my account activation failed dispite a valid credit card and a verified phone number.

Support is now asking for government id, a utility bill to know what my use case is.

This feels more like a bank than a cloud provider.

Ich bin bei #civo , einem eher kleinen Provider, der 3 Regionen zur Auswahl hat. Meine Workloads sind nicht so komplex, dass ich sie um die Welt verteilen muss. Sie laufen daher nur in Frankfurt. Beim Festlegen der Zeitpunkte orientier ich mich an den Daten für die Region "europe-west-3" (abgeguckt aus der Doku bei Google https://cloud.google.com/compute/docs/regions-zones/ )

And despite #humanitec is supposed to hide all k8s-fuzz from me, i still learned something about #traefik ingress.

I suppose now is a good time to go to bed.

Spent the day trying to get the #kubernetes dashboard working on #civo with oauth2 proxy and kube-oidc-proxy to learn at the end that kube-oidc-proxy is only reading in an API server config.

First ever #Civo #Navigate and a certain Corsair will be there.

To say that I’m over happy is an understatement, and I’m really looking for meeting with my friends in warm(?) Tampa in February 💜
