It is a set of citizen's values and behaviours that we all share and on which our societies and economic systems rest.
That term was very important during the Enlightenment because the image of the righteous God had already been discarded and even that of the "pater familias" was questioned in favor of the freedom of each human being in herself/himself.
What could be an accepted idea becomes a fallacy and I am going to explain why.
