“Aufkleber” (Sticker)
Stickers on a pay phone in Brooklyn. For my younger readers: a “pay phone” was a machine bolted to a wall or sidewalk where you inserted “coins” (small metal discs before credit or Apple Pay) in order to make a “call” (like texting, but audio). This was before pocket phones and we could wander the city without being immediately trackable or reachable. We were free.😉

Die Musik des Samstags:
- Der Nachbar zur Rechten besitzt einen Laubbläser, einen Kärcher, eine Motorsense und ein katastrophale Stimme.
- Der Nachbar zur Linken erschießt mit seinem Benzinrasenmäher den Garten. Zumindest klingt es so.
- Über der Stadt kreist ein alter Doppeldecker im Tiefflug.
- Polizei, Feuerwehr und Rettungsdienste sind im Dauereinsatz.
- Irgendwo ertönt eine einsame, aber recht genervte Hupe.
Aber wir leben ja ruhig hier.
