Clouds dim the late afternoon light.
A lone walker makes their way along a path that creates a diagonal line across the frame and leads the eye into it.
The bare branches exotic trees silhouetted against the sky, their foliage long gone with autumn’s kinder days.
The contrasting light of a winter landscape that only black-and-white can do justice too.

Walking through City Park in Launceston recently, I saw a group of Melanesian people taking photos of each other while displaying their flag.

So I walked up to them and asked if I too could take a photo. They were okay about that.
