Moments after this shot, the goshawk flew off with the body of its prey dangling—a brown cuckoo-dove. No pic, it waited till my phone was in my pocket & I'd started to turn away. 🤣

I've seen a few goshawks hunting brown cuckoo-doves—they seem to find them tasty, or other birds are better at escaping.

found this cool beetle in the middle of the walkway after class yesterday and decided to coax it to the edge so it wouldn't get stepped on - later I googled it and found it is a non native species feeding on another non native species

Damn ok. Here's my unpopular opinion opinion for the night: if you see religion and leftism as being antithetical, you've lost the plot, honey. They're, in essence, the same thing. So critique those power structures, but the phenomenon itself, it's your friend, not your enemy. Both are pointing to the same thing.
