  1. We visited Mas Cal Demoura in the Languedoc and they told us about Les Cinsónautes - a new organisation pledged to promote the long-dismissed variety Cinsault.

(I added their commitments to the poster due to character limits...)

  2. Time for a nice Warwick #cinsault tonight. Just to take the edge off :-) #wine

  3. #PizzaFriday Sausage & Broccoli Rabe #pizza with Fresh Mozzarella & Grated Gouda.
Eggplant, Sweet Pepper & Onion #Puttanesca pizza with Fresh Mozzarella & Goat Cheese.

#wine pairing is an ungrafted, dry-farmed #cinsault from southern #Chile offering bright strawberry, cherry, smoke, leather, dried orange rind with a hint of manure & seashell minerality.
    😋😋😋

6. @megmaker @EnPrimeurLefty I do miss regular text searches. My pinned column for #syrah #zinfandel and #cinsault isn't catching much. Most don't hashtag grape varieties, it turns out so far.

  7. I’m leading a 3-wine tasting in Leicestershire in January. Each #wine must be a reasonable price and I’ve decided to focus on #Cinsault

Why? A combination of price, progress and my inability to hide when I’m bored of talking about something. Not to mention the fact I live in the #Languedoc where Cinsault is… prevalent.

The idea is a rosé aperitif to set the scene, before a Languedoc & a S African or Chilean red fight it out.

    The Judgement of Leicester…

    Wine Society contenders have arrived!
