Apparently #NSERC, #SSHRC and #CIHR are transitioning away from the much hated Canadian Common CV (CCV) to a new "narrative style CV template". I can't wait for the CCV to go away soon enough. But I fear whatever they have come up with will be even worse.

For all of the early career researchers #ECR out there, especially in Canada and applying to #CIHR, just wanted to share my trajectory trying to get a Project Grant funded over the past several years. After giving up on a previous idea after 2 tries, finally achieved some success after 5 (!) submissions this time.

It's a long road, and at least in our case, persistence did finally pay off with some bridge funding - enough to start some work and hopefully get the full funding next time!
