Finally got PC the Elder's monitor connected – a little forethought would have precluded much swearing! It's now holding the fort at Mother's, where I use Arch, actually.

This is the second Heat Warning of summer, and the first time it hasn't cooled sufficiently overnight, hence the wee hours AC. (They're named that because that's when old folks have to get up to wee.)

In the continuous quest of Being Clever, I've placed the router beneath the defunct gas heater register and roofed it with a flattened six-pack. It generates a surprising amount of heat.

Went to bed early, although it it took me quite a while to fall asleep –didn't feel like reading. Perspiration too, for that matter. (Needful helping of Tillamook Marion Berry Ice cream was to die for.) 7hr 21m; awoke at 2:30 a.m., unusually. Sleep Score: Fair.

Coffee on the Famous NE Deck. "It's quite pleasant."

It was 29.6 ℃.

Sips coffee. "Earth's shadow, at least."

42.9 °C on the famous NE deck, 29.2 in the Computer Suite with the window AC running full blast. This is why I insist on Gurney House having a heat pump.

After a full #housetours day, and with the AC on full blast throughout the night, I slept well at #cicnyzskalenjo and awoke to 24 ℃, which is as good as it gets short of turning off the PC and sleeping in the Computer Suite.

Ordered an (#EnergyStar 7.5W) #Acer monitor, put the futon out to cat pasture, and changed my living room, formerly the Futon Room, into my bedroom. #cicnyzskalenjo is an unusual place with an unusual HVAC regimen.

10.9 °C on the famous NE Deck and 20.9 in the Computer Suite at #cicnyzskalenjo in Boise, Idaho at 9:00 a.m. MDT. This is not normal four days before the summer equinox.

As for #WT35C, regular heat waves kill. Atypical ones, too.
