I went to the Canadian International #AutoShow #CIAS on the weekend, partly because I love looking at cool cars, partly because I'm very tall and have a hard time finding cars that fit me well, so its nice to go somewhere I can try on all of them, like one might with clothes, to see if they fit.

Having even a crappy little RTL-SDR can be fun sometimes #Toronto #CIAS #Aviation Was curious if the F-22 Raptor would have an ADS-B beacon and no, it did not. The (presumably civilian) P-51 Mustang and the (not civilian) RAF Red Arrows squad leader did however.

Went to the Air Show today, it was pretty great, lots of cool planes.

The Red Arrows were cool, but honestly the Snowbirds were still better (totally not biased), it was fun see the Hawks fly though, it is one of my favorite jets to fly in Flight Sim.

The highlight for me may have been the water bomber demonstration, they scooped up water and then dropped it twice, and then landed on the water in front of us, very cool.

The CF-18 and F-22 were also cool, but TBH the solo acts are a little meh when compared to the formation flying of the teams.

Cyber Threat Defender is a card game created by #CIAS
The target audience is students or the general public.

As a player you play the hero and the villain at the same time.
You build up your infrastructure for which you earn points. You try to protect your infrastructure so that you keep earning points. And you attack you opponents' infrastructure.
(I believe the game mechanics are similar to #MagicTheGathering (which I haven't played))

The game is a competitive and you play it in pairs. AFAIK there are also Tournaments, at least in the US.

The game teaches about general security topics, common threats and typical (technical) counter measures. As a non-expert you will gain general knowledge and have some fun, as a security expert you will just have some fun.

I think the game is a nice introduction to security and a good tool to create basic awareness without requiring a lot of previous knowledge.

It is not especially adapted to a company environment. I think the value in a this context is limited.

Nevertheless #CyberThreatDefender is fun.
