This is why social media networks need to exist. They are *better* than the legacy institutions, even *with* centralization and flaws inherent in the current generation (eg #ciafacebook). The fediverse or something like it is going to be a *crucially important* tool, medium/lorg term and the 'blockchain' and similar censorship of fediverse servers only serve to prevent rapid responses to global threats like @covid19
