IT IS our own fault, IT IS our own lack of discipline and nothing else. Nothing can be made "irresistible". Nobody can force us to eat ultra processed food if we decide we don't want it. Also nobody can hinder us to grow and/or cook our own food, except our own unwillingness. If we are willing we find solutions, if we are unwilling, we make up a pretext.) -
We do have to thank rock stars of proper food promotion.
* TV chefs like Jamie Oliver did some great work improving school meals. (Which earns him a pass for the chorizo paella.)
* Countless YouTube chefs showing how great, real food can & should be made at home. Easily & cheaply.
But the star of the moment has to be Chris van Tulleken.

I feel 100% vindicated in boycotting McDonald's and similar US American junk food chains in favour of real restaurants preparing local, traditional recipes using real ingredients.
However I still have some way to go - my freezer does indeed contain somd of this poisonous crap - I'm now convinced not to re-stock with the same.
